About hushnap

hushnap is a free white noise and soothing-sound mixer built for baby sleep. Every sound is generated live in your browser with the Web Audio API — there are no licensed audio samples to download or stream.

Why we built it this way

Most white-noise sites either make unsourced safety claims or don't make any at all. We wanted the opposite: every factual claim about volume, distance, timing, and which sounds have research behind them is written with a named source, and hedged honestly where the evidence is limited rather than presented as settled.
